What are non-lecture hours?
Non-lecture hours are required in addition to the in-person lecture weekends in order to receive a certification.
Self Practice
Time spent on your own body - studying the manual, learning the exercises, and absorbing the material independently.
Unsupervised Teaching
Time spent teaching the exercises and choreography to other people in the format of a group class or private session. These hours will feel and look like real teaching experience.
Supervised Teaching
Time spent teaching a private session or group class at The Space while being observed by an educator. The goal is to receive feedback, develop teaching skills, and prepare for teaching in the real world.
Written & Practical Exams
The written exam is primarily multiple choice. A practical exam is teaching a private or group class in front of an educator.

All non-lecture hours are included in tuition. All hours may be completed at The Space Pilates Studio for no additional charge.
