The Space school
The Comprehensive Teacher Training Program
The Space is proud to offer a 450 hour comprehensive teacher training program written, directed, and led by The Space owner and founder Britni Lariviere. Held in person at The Space Pilates Studio, our teacher training is a contemporary program grounded in a foundation of anatomy, biomechanics, and a strong understanding of the history and principles of Pilates. The curriculum combines detailed technical material with real life, practical experience to give students the tools they need to be versatile, successful teachers no matter the avenue of teaching they choose. This program was born from the need for a teacher training that puts the student and their success first.

A small class size to ensure individual attention is possible and the information is customized to each student.

Spend more time with your educators with 10 lecture weekends (including anatomy, Mat, all apparatus, special populations, business, and more) held at The Space.

There’s more to teaching Pilates than choreography and memorizing muscles. Lectures include lessons on special populations, how to teach private vs. group classes, how to cue and guide your clients, and much more.

An extensive program designed to reach more people in our community making this career choice an option for anyone.

An emphasis on versatility and an in depth focus on the business aspect of working as a Pilates teacher (including how to build your own business, working for yourself vs. working for others, how to discuss and decide on compensation, awareness of the market, and more.)

In person lecture, self practice, unsupervised teaching, supervised teaching, final practical + written exam.

Receive your 450 hour Comprehensive Certification with a condensed in person lecture schedule. Your non-lecture hours follow the same structure - you decide your schedule and timeline for your certification.
